A Horseback Riding Program for the Heroes in our Community

     Moved by the tragic events of 9/11 and inspired by the heroic acts that followed at home and abroad, Horses4Heroes was created to say "thank you" to the men and women whose daily sacrifices keep us safe and free.  Our gift to them is to make it possible for their family members to experience the wonderful world of horses by making horseback riding affordable and accessible! 

    Horses4Heroes, Inc., a Las Vegas-based 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation, is a program for the families of the heroes in our community:  military personnel, fire fighters, police and correction officers, critical care, pediatric and hospice nurses, special education teachers and others.  Horses4Heroes at the Diamond K Ranch is conveniently located in the northwest just west of the Santa Fe Hotel.

     Our program focuses on all aspects of horse care including ground fundamentals as well as riding.  Both English and Western riding disciplines are offered, along with beginning rodeo and gymkhana (barrel racing, pole bending, dummy roping, goat tying) lessons.  Members also learn valuable leadership and teamwork skills.

• Work-to-Ride Program (13 & over)

• Discounted riding lessons from local trainers, barns, and riding academics
• Discounts from local merchants and western clothing retailers, including Sheplers
• All ages welcome!

     Membership in Horses4Heroes, Inc. is just $35 per family the first year and includes: a T-shirt for every member of the family, a two-hour orientation session and one, one-hour semi-private lesson with one of our instructors.  Membership is renewable annually for $20 per family.  (Membership fees are waived for active duty military, families with a deployed family member or by request!)  Most activities are free; some have low fees to cover costs.  Donations are always welcome!
