Motivated by the tragic events of “9/11″ and the heroic acts that followed at home and abroad, Horses4Heroes was created to say “thank you” to the men and women whose daily sacrifices keep us safe and free by making it possible for their family members to ride a horse.

The organization was founded by Allison Knott, a 16-year-old high school student at Faith Lutheran Jr/Sr High School. Busy earning Straight “A”s and showing her American Paint Horse at shows from coast to coast, Allison created Horses4Heroes to share her love of horses with the families of the heroes in our community.

Today, our organization has more than 200 family-members and we are coming soon to a community near you.
