Horses4Heroes runs on HorsePower!

Horses are the stars of our programs and we are proud to have an amazing group of rescued, donated and leased horses that are accessible to the families of the heroes in communities throughout the State of Nevada!

Horses are used in lessons, weekly play days, trail rides, camps and clinics and local horse shows.

Through our HorsePower program, we are able to accept donations of kid-friendly, well-trained horses that need a forever home. Funds raised for HorsePower are used to pay for board, feed, vet bills, shoeing, insurance and other horse-related expenses.

An average 1,000-pound horse costs about $2,500 a year to maintain. A horse lives 30-40 years and is rideable well into its 20s and 30s.

Horses4Heroes in Nevada has access to 10 horses, including three that have been donated to our program.
