A four-lesson series just for beginner riders!

Horse 101 will teach you and/or your child fundamental horse safety and horsemanship.  At the conclusion of this series, you will have learned the basics necessary to safely handle a horse on the ground and under saddle and will be ready for group lessons!

The four classes will cover handling, grooming, equipping, and riding Western and/or English. Each session will be at least one hour and the student will be required to “pass a test” to advance to the next level.  Sessions may be repeated once in order for the student to advance.

A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to the student at the end of the four-part series.

Riders who have taken lessons at other facilities may “test” out of sessions one and/or two, however sessions three and four are required.  The cost per session is $15 or $50 for all four.

Parents are welcome to attend the session and learn along with their child!

Horse 101 sessions are by appointment. Sessions can be done daily, weekly or monthly.  Obviously, you will gain the most from this experience if you do each session close together.  One or two per week or weekly is recommended.
