StayStrong

The Horses4Heroes StayStrong program was created especially for families and individuals (pre-teens, teens, adults) who are struggling with life’s challenges. Our program works with families that have a member who is disabled, seriously or terminally ill, at-risk youth, foster kids, those in abusive situations, and those suffering from depression, low self-esteem, lack of self-confidence and motivation, and more. We also have a special program for families who have lost a loved one and we can customize programs for your organization or agency.

Horses are prey animals. They survive by using their instincts and trusting their leaders and their herd-mates. The leaders earn their herd’s loyalty through strength and respect, not fear and bullying. We use proven, successful Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) methods to teach lessons that will give you the tools needed to cope with life’s challenges. Animal Assisted Therapy has been endorsed by the American Psychological Association (APA) Division 17, Section 13; and by the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) as a viable option for self-exploration and growth. We can work with therapists and psychologists and customize programs just for your organization and clients.
