HORSES4HEROES WANTS YOU!
Horses4Heroes, Inc. is a program for the families of military personnel (active duty and veterans), police and correction officers, fire fighters and EMTs, pediatric, critical care and hospice nurses, and special needs school teachers. In addition, our program is for families who have a family member with a disability or serious illness. While our program is not able to serve the needs of the developmentally disabled or those with serious or terminal illnesses, we invite the other family members to enjoy the distractions that a Day at the Ranch offers.
Members are invited to:
- Horse 'n Around (Weekly two-hour horseback riding sessions)
- Horse Camps and Clinics
- Members-only Events and Horse Shows
- Monthly Barbeques
- HorsePlay (Pre-School - K)
- Work-to-Ride Program (13 & over)
- Birthday Party Packages (Members only!)
- Girl Scout Visits
- Welcome Home/Send-Off Parties
- Discounted riding lessons from local trainers, barns, and riding academics
- Discounts from local merchants and western clothing retailers, including Sheplers
- All ages welcome!
Membership in Horses4Heroes, Inc. is just $35 per family the first year and includes: a T-shirt for every member of the family, a two-hour orientation session and one, one-hour semi-private lesson with one of our instructors. Membership is renewable annually for $20 per family. (Membership fees are waived for active duty military, families with a deployed family member or by request!) Most activities are free; some have low fees to cover costs. Donations are always welcome!
