OPERATION FREE RIDE!
You and your facility are invited to participate in OPERATION FREE RIDE, an important and unprecedented collaboration between breed associations and equestrian organizations, united for one important mission: TO GIVE ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY PERSONNEL, RETURNING COMBAT VETERANS, WOUNDED WARRIORS AND THEIR FAMILIES THE OPPORTUNITY TO RIDE A HORSE FOR FREE. Launching this spring, OPERATION FREE RIDE will be an important opportunity for participating facilities and sponsors to show their support for the soldiers, veterans and their families who have sacrificed to keep us safe and free, participate in a nationwide community service project, and attract new customers to facilities and products. OPERATION FREE RIDE FACILITIES will:
• Be listed on the Operation Free Ride Web site;
• Showcase their facility, operations and staff to an interested group of horse-loving, military families. A “free” ride can consist of a walk around the pen, a trail ride, a visit to a dude ranch, the sky’s the limit and it’s up to you.
• Receive discounts on various products and services throughout the promotion (May 19, 2012 through Veterans Day 2012). Facilities will have the opportunity to renew or opt out for 2013.
• Participants will be able-bodied and/or ambulatory and should have their doctor’s permission, if necessary, to participate in horseback riding activities.
• OPERATION FREE RIDE is for all ages, all riding levels. It’s for the entire family!
• Riders and participants will be expected to follow the rules set forth by you, the host facility.
• Look out! Participants may fall in love with horses and want to learn more about riding! Now you have a new client!
