Proudly serving those who serve us!

VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are the lifeblood of Horses4Heroes. Volunteers of all ages are needed to help staff events, and help those who are giving lessons, by brushing and saddling the horses, warming them up, assisting and/or giving lessons, cooling down, unsaddling, and helping with basic barn chores, from sweeping and mucking stalls, to cleaning tack. There is no shortage of chores to be done at a barn and we don't want the trainers and barn owners to bear the burden of this program alone!
Horses4Heroes, through affiliations with high school organizations, 4-H clubs and local breed association youth groups, will train volunteers for this program.
Many school programs, churches and clubs (and colleges) encourage and/or require community service hours. Horses4Heroes provides an avenue for young riders to do their community service work at the barn, without sacrificing their time and love for their horses.
